Jackie: Thanks for showing me around BrightStar Industries, David. This is my first day, so I have a lot to learn.
David: No problem! Let me introduce you to the different departments. We’re standing near the Production Department. This is where our goods are manufactured. The team also checks that every product meets our quality standards.
Jackie: Interesting. And what does the Marketing Department do?
David: They advertise our products and help sell them. They also study what customers want before we launch something new.
Jackie: I saw a sign for the Research and Development Department. What happens there?
David: The engineers work there. They design new products, improve existing ones, and sometimes apply for a patent to protect a new invention.
Jackie: Who manages the company's money?
David: That's the Finance Department. Our accountants prepare the budget, keep financial records, and make sure everything is accurate.
Jackie: And if the company needs a new contract?
David: The Legal Department takes care of that. The lawyers prepare contracts and give legal advice whenever it's needed.
Jackie: What about hiring new employees?
